Key Question: What is the most important thing I can do in life?

Biblical Truth: The greatest commandment is to love God with all of your being.

Biblical Context: This is the third in a series of lessons focusing on the motivation for God’s covenant with His children: His undying love. Lesson 25 focused on God’s love as the basis of our covenant relationship with Him. Lesson 26 focused on how God demonstrates His eternal love through His actions. This lesson will teach students the very essence of how they are to respond to God’s love: by loving Him with all their being and by loving others in Jesus’ name. This lesson will focus on Deuteronomy 6:4–9, often called the Shema, and Jesus’ quoting of it in Matthew 22:34–40.
