Key Question: If I give my life to God, what will happen?
Biblical Truth: God promised His people He would restore them and change their lives.
Biblical Context: This is the seventh in a series of lessons focusing on the characteristics of God’s covenant with His people. Students have studied God’s judgment on the Israelites for their rejection of His covenant. But, in lesson 22, God gave His people a way to survive: “seek me and live.” In lesson 23, students will study the life God promised to those who turned back to Him. Students can be confident this promise of new life is still relevant today. God delivered His words of hope through Zephaniah, a prophet to Judah during the second half of the seventh century B.C.
Learning Goals:
- Students will understand that God promises to renew the lives of those who turn to Him.
- Students will begin to value God’s promise of renewal for those who turn to Him.
